Researching WW2 data on U.S. Military and U.S. Units, often I need to find General Orders and After Action Reports. Is it perhaps a suggestion to make in this forum a central place to collect, show and share these documents? I can add several, but do not seem to be able to find a central research area on this forum where these are in place.
Other areas on this forum can off course be used to add these, but it would be far more helpfull for research if there were to be a central place to add them.

That certainly is a possibility, Wilco. I have AARs pertinent to the 30th ID that I could add.

    Otto, what say you?

This is an outstanding idea. How about starting a thread "General Orders & After Action Reports" and as it grows turn it into a 'stickey'? I have a few GO's on the 348th FG I could add.

Great idea Wilco! WW2F is in a transitional phase right now, several forums will be edited, moved, and added. Your timing is perfect. Expect an email later today.

    Thanks,
    It would be wondefull.
I can at least add certain amounts of GO's and AAF's, but also Unit Orders etc I come up with in my researches. Having them added from others could help people like me again, for often these kind of documents are hard to find here in Europe.

I like this as well. It would certainly be easier to find what is needed, especially as it grows.

OK what is the latest on this? I have four .pdf files of the 124th AAA that include after action reports, one file is over 14MB in size. Is there a place to upload and store these files?
