This soldier (Hix or Hicks depending on the source) destroyed 3 Panthers in ETO before being killed by a sniper on July 13, 1944. My questions are....

    What is his full name?

I think he was in E Company, but which platoon?

Who were his victims (unit not individuals).

    best regards

    Keith

It would be helpful to know which Regiment/Division he was in.

Color me un-surprised. Beevor is at best slipshod and at worst simply copies and pastes early authors mistakes. His Normandy book is simply a thinly disguised clone of Hastings Normandy book.
