This goes on every day, in some of the most dangerous seas on earth. Even the most routine activities are dangerous in winter. The decks are covered with frozen spray, the vessels are often rocking 25 or 30 degrees. They launch small boats to fight through those seas to deliver pumps or remove fisherman from stricken vessels.
