I had a nice lunch with Stefan last summer while he and his lovely wife were touring the southeastern United States. We met and ate at Mary Mac's Tea Room in Hotlanta so that I could ensure that he was able to enjoy some pot likker and cornbread.
Sadly, no. I've texted numerous times with Stefan, spoken on the phone wth Jeff, and in the past spoken to Carl ( C. Evans) and Clint (brndirt), but no face to face.
Planned a couple "meets" but schedules just didn't worked out. Always thought it would be interesting to meet someone you've "talked" to on the forum. Then started communicating with Urgh. PM's and emails. I've decided it may be best to keep some distance.
Well I'll be at the WW2 Museum in New Orleans this weekend, so if any of you people want to stop by for a de-brief at one of my field offices in the French Quarter feel free to stop by. No appointments necessary. First round on you though....
Nope, I have not met a single one! BTW, does anyone know where The Old Chief T.A. Gardner is? I miss his vast knowledge about technical matters which he presented in his posts.
Ooooo, it was a long mission. Had to move multiple times. Here's some of what I can remember; Deanie's Seafood on Dauphine Pat O'Brian's Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop The Dungeon The Carousel Bar Drago's The Howlin' Wolf Pierre Masparrow's Muriel's Lucy's Ceviche (that means fish in French you know) That's about all the names I can remember. There were several more that I might be able to find, but I can't remember their names. I hate when that happens.
I met my son once or twice. He hasn't been on for awhile, though. Something about having a job... I have had a great phone conversation with Natman. That's about it.
Forgot about this one. Time to dust it off and break it out. Earlier this spring, Jeff and I planned a trip over to Ft. Benning, Ga. to visit the Infantry Museum. I already met Jeff before when he came to Baton Rouge a few years back to bring his girls to the Bayou County Superfest at LSU to see some girl C&W singer. Taylor something or nother. Anyway, he doesn't count. Dave55 showed up, so that means I've met three Rogues so far. USMCPrice was supposed to be there, but never made it. Blamed it on work. Anyone else have something to add?
Only one, Jeff, we only live about 40 miles apart. As soon as Alabama gets paved roads we may get to see each other more often. Gaines
