It was 16 degrees here. Nearly froze my fingers off in the three hours it took to catch two fish. Taking the propane heater tomorrow !

Spring here. The turtles are climbing on the logs during the middle of the day.

Well it was 66F and sunny here today, thought I would freeze. Good thing I had a sub-zero parka and snow boots.

We're doing 75-80 (f) during the day and 35-40 at night. It's still brown but seeing the turtles at mid-day lets me know spring is here.

February here. Plus 10c. One of the reasons i moved back. ..The wind can sandblast yer car, but it is much better than the cold and snow experienced North.
Starting to hear song birds, which is my most favourite sound of the year...Have a special spot for Robins and their calls in spring.
There is a couple of woodpeckers hanging out. They are very shy, and will hop around tree trunks so you can't see them. They have a beautiful plumage, and have decimated the ant colonies around the house...Dozens of sparrows inhabit my bushes, they eat the moth larva eating the shrubs...A hawk also patrols, and evidence of piles of feathers under trees indicate he has been successful. ..Think ill try a bird bath, and feeder. ..Want to keep the birds around.

We put in a small garden pond and I'm amazed at how many different species of birds I've seen at it.

Last week here in Bowling Green, Kentucky there was a day where it was snowing and raining at the same time! A friend of mine said "It's Kentucky. We have all the weathers of all the seasons here. It may not be the right time but we still got it." But it's been starting to feel like Spring though lately. Going on 47o warm enough to wear shorts but chilly enough to wear a jacket.
