Okay, a sorta long quote: "Tell ya what Dave. You find yourself out there in the middle of a fire fight, with your guts hanging out, screaming for a medic, if I can help you without endangering my own life, I won't hesitate."

    "When Trumpets Fade"

I saw it not long ago. Got it on Netflix. Great movie about the epic struggle in the Hurtgen Forrest.

Amen to that. When I saw it for the first time, I started wondering exactly how accurate the producers were to the characters and missions they were involved in. Then, after about 10 minutes into the movie, I didn't wonder anymore. Characters and situations may have been "dramatic license", but the epic horror war and the pure hell meat-grinder of the Hurtgen....I'd imagine that's about as close as film can get to what actually went on there; nobody who wasn't there could ever imagine how bad it was.

Yep. The quote was from "When Trumpets Fade". I need to watch that one again.

Uh, no. Is that a real movie title?

Hint #1; It was a comedy.

No. Hint #2; Released in 1966, in color. James Coburn was in it too.

Is that the one with "Colonel Potter" in it when he was only a Major?

Hmmmm..using the provided hints and IMDB, would it be "What Did You Do in the War, Daddy?" This is more of a guess, since there's only one "memorable quote" and its not the one in question.

Yes and yes. It was a silly movie, but worth a look. Brad got the first yes since he answered correctly earlier than the RabidAlien did. Take it away Brad.

Oh, great....now I gotta find a quote from a movie obscure enough that y'all big-guns won't be able to get it within 30 seconds....

    Try this one:

"You guys are covered here, but walk carefully beyond this point."
"Walk? Are you out of your mind? I'm gonna dig a subway."

Are we continuing with the James Coburn theme?

That was a great movie, ahead of it's time for realism I've always thought. One of my all-time favorites. Mr. Daniel Boone/Davie Crocket never had that 1st Sgt. appeal to me. Must have been all that time wearing a coon-skin cap.
